Photonic Lighting

Photonic Lighting is a browser-based DMX lighting controller that brings professional-stage lighting control to any device with a web browser. Built with Three.js for real-time 3D visualization, it delivers an immersive experience for controlling complex lighting setups without expensive hardware.

Core Features

The application centers around a powerful color mixing engine where users can create, save, and manage multiple scenes. Each scene stores complete lighting configurations that can be switched instantly during live performances. The interface includes vertical faders for precise control over individual lighting parameters, while horizontal sliders handle global settings like speed, intensity, and transition timing.

A dedicated strobe control section provides rapid on/off control with adjustable frequency, enabling the classic concert lighting effects. The frame manager allows users to build and organize lighting cues into logical sequences, making it simple to program entire shows in advance.

Audio Reactivity

An integrated audio visualizer analyzes microphone input in real-time, driving lighting effects to pulse and shift in sync with music. This transforms any space into an audio-reactive light show that responds dynamically to beat, rhythm, and volume.

Scene and Chase Management

The scene bar provides quick access to saved lighting configurations, while the chase grid allows stacking multiple effects into queues. Color chase sequences cycle through preset colors in configurable patterns, creating running-light effects that are staples of stage and event lighting.

Technical Implementation

Built on Three.js for 3D rendering, the platform leverages WebGL to deliver smooth real-time visualization of lighting output. The entire application runs client-side with no server-side processing, ensuring low latency and instant responsiveness. Netlify powers the hosting infrastructure, guaranteeing reliability and global distribution.
